Cowley to face Grand Rapids in opening match at nationals

After winning the District M tournament and finishing the regular season with a record of 28-5, the Cowley College volleyball team recently found out it will be the third seed in the NJCAA Division II National Volleyball Championship played Nov. 15-17 in Scottsdale, AZ.

The Lady Tigers will open play at 11 a.m. Nov. 15 against Grand Rapids (19-9), which earned the 14th seed in the tournament.

Defending national champion Kishwaukee College (Ill.) is the top seed, while Jayhawk Conference foe Johnson County is the second seed.
