Three former Lady Tigers to play in WNIT


Former Cowley College women’s basketball players Ashley Cole, Brittany Wilson and Crysta Glenn, will get an opportunity to play in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.

Ashley Cole and Brittany Wilson play for Texas State (20-10), and Crysta Glenn is a member of the Southeast Missouri State Lady Redhawks’ (23-8) basketball team. Both programs will be making their first ever appearance at the WNIT.

Cole is averaging 11.5 points and 4.1 rebounds for the Lady Bobcats, which won the Southland Conference title. Wilson comes off the bench to average 3.4 points and 2.9 rebounds.

Glenn leads Southeast Missouri State in field goal percentage (43.6 percent) and is second in rebounding (5.9 rebounds), while averaging 6.3 points per game. She helped the Lady Redhawks capture the Ohio Valley Conference regular season title.
