Boomer Saia named November Student-Athlete of the Month

Working hard on the tennis court and in the classroom, Boomer Saia was recently named Cowley College’s November Student-Athlete of the Month.

After completing a stellar high school career in which he captured back-to-back state doubles titles at Ark City High School, Saia put together a solid freshman season at Cowley as he qualified to compete at the NJCAA National Championships in singles and doubles.

Saia, the lone sophomore on the Tiger tennis team, is expected to provide a leadership role for the team in the spring season. He enters the year ranked 59th nationally in singles, and along with Alex Woolcock form the 32nd ranked doubles team.
