Registration ongoing for Cowley College Baseball Showcase

With an opportunity for high school students to display their abilities in front of numerous invited professional scouts and college coaches, the Cowley College Baseball Showcase will be held Oct. 19 at City Ball Park in Arkansas City.

The showcase will include a professional style format. The athletes will run a timed 60, work on outfield and infield defensive situations, catcher pop times, pitcher bullpens, and conduct batting practice.

As a bonus to the athletes, 25 participants will be invited to play in a seven-inning scrimmage at the conclusion of the showcase. The athletes will have the opportunity to further showcase their abilities in a live game setting in front of scouts and college coaches.

The cost to attend the showcase is $50 for early registration received by Oct. 17, and $75 for registration received Oct. 18 or Oct. 19.
