Fun in the sun

Gearing up for the regular season, the Cowley College baseball team hosted a scrimmage against Butler Community College Wednesday at City Ball Park in Arkansas City.

Freshman Trevor Rosenthal, pictured homering to centerfield, was one of several Tigers that swung the bats well during the 14-inning scrimmage. Fellow freshman Ryan Hege also homered for the Tigers.
Cowley used nine pitchers in the contest. The Tigers will scrimmage a pair of teams today in Claremore, Okla. Cowley will play Carl Albert at 2 p.m. and Northeastern Oklahoma at 5 p.m.

The Tigers’ next home game will take place Wednesday when they play Rose State at 3 p.m.
