Lady Tiger tennis blasts pair of opponents
Getting contributions from every player on its roster, the No. 6-ranked
Cowley College women’s tennis team picked up a pair of 9-0 wins
over Hesston College and Bethel College Thursday in Hesston.
After opening the season with a pair of losses against two tough Oklahoma
schools, the Lady Tigers are now 2-2 on the season.
Against Hesston, Cowley dominated by losing just one game in singles
and one game in doubles play. The Lady Tigers continued to play well
in the match against Bethel and did not drop a set in the win over the
Lady Threshers.
“Even though we were winning easily we did a good job of being able to
keep our focus,” Cowley head coach Josh Cobble said. “Everyone
got playing time and stepped up to help us win.”
Cowley will look to make it three wins in a row when they play at Baker
University Saturday at 3 p.m.
