Classified, administrative, and part-time personnel may authorize
the Chief Business Officer to make automatic payroll deductions for the following
purposes: payment of premiums for College approved IRC 125 Salary Reduction items,
such as: health/dental plan, Salary Protection Insurance Plan, and contributions
to approved tax sheltered annuities and life insurance plans. Deductions may
also be authorized for payment of dues for the College Education Association,
College Endowment Association, Tiger Booster Club, Ark City Teachers Credit Union,
and United Way of Arkansas City, provided that such deductions may not be discontinued
during a contract year except as stated in the IRC-125 plan.
All applications for payroll deductions must be submitted
in writing each year by August 20.
A list of approved tax sheltered annuity and/or life
insurance companies are maintained in the Business Office.
Voluntary salary deductions may be discontinued at any
time during the school year by filing a written request at least 21
days in advance of the specified pay period.
