222.00 INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA

The College maintains an extensive inventory of audio-visual equipment for instructional purposes. Audio-visual equipment may be defined to include/but not be limited to: overhead projectors, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, LCD video data projectors, document cameras, sound amplification equipment (stereo amplifiers), film strip projectors, tape recorders/players, slide projectors and video cameras. All equipment is restricted to official school business without the express permission of the Technology Specialist. The Technology Specialist shall maintain custody and control of all equipment not assigned or installed in a particular department, classroom or outreach location on a permanent basis.

A check-out system shall be implemented by the Technology Specialist.

Reservations for use of equipment shall be made as far in advance as possible, so that the Technology Specialist may be assured that the user is fully acquainted with the operation of equipment before using it and that the desired equipment will be available at the time requested.

Special faculty check-out may be for a period of not longer than one semester. The Technology Specialist reserves the right to recall such items as are necessary to meet the needs of the institution.
