406.00 STUDENT GOVERNMENT

The Student Government Association is established to provide the student body with an officially recognized voice in the governance of the College. The Student Government Association participates in the development of student policies and programs under guidance of a sponsor appointed by the administration. SGA expends certain student funds, supervises student social programs, recommends for appointment student members to student-faculty committees and councils, and charters other student organizations. The Student Government Association is affiliated with the Kansas Association of Community Colleges Student Government Association. The Association is composed of the Student President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer elected at large from the student body and of representatives from organizations on campus. SGA is governed by the constitution and by-laws of their organization.
