ACES

Bowl for Kid's Sake 2006

Cowley ACES will be hosting a Bowl for Kid's Sake to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cowley County. Get your teams together and join us for a night of fun, bowling and pizza.

Each team must have 5 member and each memeber must collect at least $25 in pledges. The team captain will get a free Bowl for Kid's Sake sweatshirt!

All teams will meet at Walnut Valley Lanes in Ark City on Thursday, February 23rd at 9:30pm for bowling and all you can eat pizza and sodas! Door prizes will be given out throughout the evening.

We have a limited number of lanes so come by and get your sign up sheet and get your team together. See James Fry or Michelle Knoles for sign up sheets and team captain packets. Our office is located in the Brown Center, lower level on the north end of the hallway in the Social Science Department.

See our 2005 scrapbook for pictures from last year's event.

February 18th is CCL Casino Night. We will meet at Baden Square in Winfield at 10am to set up and then the Casino fun starts at 7pm. Volunteers may help with various games, including dealing poker and help with the silent auction and door prizes. This is an awesome event and lots of fun. Money raised during this event goes to help people who are clients of Creative Community Living. Creative Community Living is an organization that assists disabled people in our community.

February 22 9am-4pm is the MDA jail fundraiser. If you would like to help out with this event, please call Michelle or James, or e-mail us. This is an annual fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Volunteers will assist in "arresting" people--these are community members who have volunteered to be arrested. Volunteers may also be asked to check people in and serve lunch. This event takes place at the Cherokee Strip Museum in Arkansas City.

February 22-Blood Drive-Wright Room on the Arkansas City Campus 10-3.
