The Wellness Center can be taken for college credit, one-hour credit for the full semester. If taking the Wellness Center as a class, one is required to attend an orientation; a student's personal exercise program will be developed.

Memberships are also available on a one, three,
six, or twelve-month basis, Membership sign-up can be taken care
of at the Center. Orientations are optional for members.
The goal of the Center is to enhance a person's cardiovascular
respiratory endurance, muscle endurance, muscle strength, and flexibility.
FITNESS DOES A BODY GOOD
When you are fit, you have more stamina, less stress, and less
sickness. You look good and have more zest for life. A good way
to get fit is to enroll in the Wellness Center. Not only will we
help your body get fit, we will help your mind get fit on how to
take care of yourself.

These are key elements in every successful fitness program. Does
your program have what it takes?
Cowley offers personalized exercise recommendations. We conduct
initial testing to determine each person's current level of fitness.
The instructors at the center know how to establish realistic
goals for all populations, including adolescents, seniors or persons
with sports injuries. What type of exercise to recommend, how much,
how often, and at what intensity level.
Qualified personnel have an excellent understanding of exercise
physiology and nutrition. We are well-versed in motivational techniques
and creative instruction.
At Cowley College Wellness Center, we will help you put all
these things to use.
THE SMALL GROUP ADVANTAGE
The small group format allows the educational experience to be
scaled so that it meets each individual's needs. And the peer interaction
enables you to share insight and engage in some informal problem
A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS
The Wellness Center offers a variety of programs to enhance your
fitness needs. Students and members may select from an assortment
of aerobic devices such as:
- Indoor walking track
- Stair climber
- Elliptical cross trainer
- Nordic Track
The Universal Super Circuit training system is also a valuable tool in bringing about whole body activity.
The Center completes its strength program with a complete free weight facility.
Classes in Aerobics and Weight Training are offered year around.
