Eligibility Requirements for the IMPACT Program
TRIO—IMPACT is a federal grant program.
Participants must qualify to be considered for the program.
Eligible students must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Meet income guidelines
- Have a documented disability
- Be a first generation college student (neither parent has earned a Bachelor’s degree)
Additional Criteria:
- Students must also plan to graduate from Cowley and transfer on to a four-year institution.
- Have an academic need.
- Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
The Student Support Services IMPACT Program serves 160 participants. Of the 160 participants, at least 67% must meet income guidelines and be a first generation college student or have a documented disability. The remaining 33% can be first generation, meet income guidelines or be a student with a documented disability only. There may be times that a student must be put on a wait list due to their particular category being full.
