Kimberlee Cook

Humanities Instructor: English Composition & Public Speaking

Cook“The art of public speaking and writing are some of the most essential skills students will ever learn. English and Public Speaking courses teach a student to develop their own unique style of effective communication and writing that helps them procure a job and acquire the specialized communication skills necessary for later advancement. Language has power, and when one uses it effectively, it has the power to elicit change. In the words of Nathaniel Hawthorne, 'Words —  so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them.' "

Kimberlee Cook joined the Humanities staff at Cowley College in the Fall of 2015. Prior to coming to Cowley College, Cook worked for several years as an Academic Advisor/Tutor Coordinator for TRIO Disability Support Services.
