Cowley partnering to offer CCEMTP course in Arkansas City
Partnering with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Wesley helioMedical Center Trauma Services, Midwest Life Team, and Wichita State University, Cowley College is hosting the Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program June 7-18 in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. read more

 

Eleven graduate from Cowley College Paramedic Program
2009 Day GradsGraduation for 11 students in Cowley College’s Mobile Intensive Care Technician (paramedic) program was held Friday in the Earle N. Wright Community Room at the main campus in Arkansas City.  The program that finished on December 11 completed the AAS degree requirements for these graduates. read more

Cowley hosts Medical Careers Day

Getting an opportunity to learn about medical programs and degrees offered by Cowley College, 33 students took part in the school’s Medical Careers Day at the Allied Health Center in Winfield.
Those attending were made up of high school students, displaced area workers, and some Cowley College students.
The day consisted of a tour of the Allied Health Center, an overview of the Allied Health programs, and medical careers presentations provided by Butler County EMS, Butler County Paramedic Unit, Winfield Area EMS, Arkansas City Fire Department and EMS, William Newton Memorial Hospital, Hospice of Kansas, and the Pratt Nursing program. read more

Andover MICT Students Complete Program
Fifteen individuals recently completed the Cowley MICT Program, becoming the first cohort to complete the Andover program held through a partnership with Butler College.
 

Cowley College offering educational opportunities for dislocated workers
Cowley College is investing in our community’s future by providing training to those who need to expand their employment skills.
Funding opportunities are available for dislocated workers that enroll in approved educational training programs, including: CNA/CMA, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Coding, and Medical Transcription.
