Contest Information

We will have two contests: Writing and Mass Communication. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to enter either or both contests. All contest entrants must register for and attend Humanities & Communication Day on November 16. Deadline to submit contest entries is November 9.

Scholarship Interviews

Seniors will have the opportunity to discuss their work with program directors, talk about program courses, activities, and opportunities, and discover if Cowley College is the place for them! Bring examples of your work unless you have already submitted them for one of the contests.

Writing Contest

Categories include Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry Genres. You are encouraged to enter more than one category and submit as many works as you like. Those submitting a variety of diverse works will be considered for the prodigy award along with individual awards. When submitting works, include your Name, Genre Type and Title on each work. Acceptable formats include: MS Word or PDF.

Mass Comm Contest

Categories include Video, Photography and Essays and Articles. You may enter more than one category and submit as many examples as you like. When submitting be sure to include your Name, Category and Title on each submission. Acceptable formats include: WMA, MP3, WAV or YouTube link for video; JPEG, GIF or PNG for photos; and MS Word or PDF for writings.
