We Heard From...

1990s
Mike Abasolo (1998) is assistant men’s basketball coach and admissions representative for Newman University in Wichita.

John Benedict (1998) is a supervisor in maintenance control at Ryan International Airlines in Wichita. His wife, Daisy, is a waitress while she goes to school. John writes, "I liked it (Cowley) so much, I’ve returned to pick up a few classes for my bachelor’s degree."

Danella Dillon (1998) is in customer administration for a company in Framingham, Mass. Her fiancé, Dennis K. Hardy (2000), is an airframe and powerplant mechanic at A.C. Jet.

Hollie Spore (1998) is a junior at Emporia State University pursuing a bachelor of arts degree. She has one child, Martika Spore.

Chad Gilbert (1991) is an officer in leasing services at the First National Bank of Hutchinson, Kansas. He and his wife, Amy, have one child, Cole, age 1 1/2. Amy is a medical transcriptionist.

1980s
Gretchen S. (Moore) Williams (1989) is a human resources agent for B&M Welding, Inc., in Arkansas City. She and her husband, Guy, have three children, Connor 8, Sawyer 5, and Greysen 2.

David Smith (1984) is instructor of vocal music at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas. He and his wife, Audry, have two children, Erica 11 and Nicole 8.

Arlan Houghton (1980) is training coordinator for The Charles Machine Works, Inc., in Perry, Oklahoma. He and his wife, Mary Jo, have two children, Andrew 12 and Michael 8.

1970s
Kenneth Peterman (1974) is project manager for Siemens in Chicago, Ill. He writes that his agri-business classes with Conrad Jimison (current vice president of instruction) and Richard Tredway (retired) were a very important part of his career.

1960s
Larry Koon (1961) is an instructor at Colby Community College in Colby, Kansas.

Thaine W. (Walt) Cook Jr. (1960) is an engineer with T.W. Cook Engineers, Inc., in Kingwood, Texas. Besides being busy with his engineering business, Walt’s hobbies are flying, playing golf, and remodeling houses. He and his wife, Marilyn L. (Gay) Cook, have three grown children, Greg 32, Gretchen 28, and Josh 23. Marilyn is a registered nurse.
