We Heard From...

1990s
Tammy (Roberts) Swingle (1993) lives in Argonia, Kan., with her husband, Brien Swingle and their two children, Mallory 4 and Mylee 2. Brien is chief of police for the city of Argonia. Tammy played volleyball for Deb Nittler and was considered a member of “the rowdy bunch.” She writes: “Deb taught us a lot more than volleyball. She was a friend besides a coach. We learned to play as a team, and get along as a team. She was like a second mom to a lot of us. I just wanted to let Deb know how much I and the rest of the team looked up to her, and what a great job she did as a coach and friend. She will be missed as a coach, I’m sure.”

1980s
Patricia Sandstrum (1989) is director of nursing at the Greeley (Neb.) Care Home. She offers many thanks to the teachers at Cowley. She lives in Scotia, Neb.

Kimberly (Roberts) Allen (1982) is a registered nurse/paramedic in the emergency room at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She and her husband, Trey, owner of Classic Impressions portrait studio, have a daughter, Victoria Leigh, age 3. Kimberly has very fond memories of her cheerleading days and going to all of the Cowley athletic events.
