Dashing Ducks!

Quackers and the gang await the start of the Duck Squat. Heavy rain just 24 hours prior to the Duck Dash made the stream fast and furious. More than 400 people were served a gourmet meal of mesquite prime rib and chicken breast courtesy Great Western Dining. Diane Kelly, Ron Godsey and Curt Freeland stand at the finish line to record results of each race. A nervous Quackers, just before making his deposit on square 57. Charles McKown, Cowley’s dean of research and technology, poses with Quackers, the duck that made McKown $500 after he purchased square 57 for $10. The event raised $11,800 for the Endowed Scholarship Fund. The event has raised more than $63,000 in six years.
