Welding in Mulvane
Cowley began reaching out to area high schools by offering classes in automotive and welding technology in Mulvane during the fall semester. Area high school students began taking courses in automotive and welding in August 2004 at the Mulvane Center. Machine tool technology classes will be added in fall 2005. Classes are open to both junior/senior level high school and post-secondary students.
Classes are taught at Cowley’s Mulvane Industrial Technology Center in the Marinus Heersche Business Park. Students completing the two-year program will receive a college certificate, and students completing the certificate program will be ready to enter the workforce or can attend one additional semester to receive an associate’s degree. Students will receive high school credit while attending college courses.
