A pair of Arkansas City natives were named Cowley College’s Homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Tiger men’s basketball game played January 25 at W. S. Scott Auditorium/Dan Kahler Court.
Brandon May was named king, while Ashley Colburn was crowned queen.
“It’s a huge honor, there are only so many defining moments in life that you can look back on, and this is one of them,” Colburn said. “Having my family there was awesome.” Colburn serves as the Advertising Manager of the Cowley press. She is undecided on a major, and plans to transfer to either Wichita State University or the University of Kansas.
May is a member of Student Ambassadors. He is a golf course management major who plans to transfer to Kansas State University.
Queen finalists were: Ashley Colburn, Kelsey Creed, Ashley Bland, Fernanda Domingos, and Megan Schoenfeld. King finalists were: Brandon May, James Franklin, Joey Glenn, Cameron Traxson, and Brandon Burke.
