Cowley College Music Department conducts spring concert program

Capping another stellar year for the Cowley College Music Department, the Concert Band and Concert Choir gave its final performances of the 2008-2009 academic year May 5 in the Robert Brown Theatre.

The Concert Choir, under the direction of Connie Donatelli, sang six pieces. The songs were, Cantate, “Sing To The Lord”, “To Everything There Is A Season”, “Yo Le Canto Todo El Dia” ( I Sing To You All Day Long), “God Be In My Head”, “That Lonesome Road”, and “The Awakening”.

The Concert Band, under the direction of Josh Fleig, performed “Procession of the Nobles”, “Prelude, Siciliano, and Rondo”, “Prelude and Fugue in B-Flat Major”, “Ave Maria”, “Ascentium”, and Chorale and Shaker Dance II”. Steve Butler served as the accompanist for the concert.

Members of the Concert Choir were, Edna Anderson, Brieanna Baxter, Courtney Becker, Cody Borror, Sarah Bowling, Erin Burroughs, Jacob Fletcher, Kelsey Ford, Thomas Govert, Clinton Haas, Nicole Hoerschgen, Leslie Holloway, Robert Hutson, Derek Kelsheimer, Jessica Latham, Chris Loftin, Amber Mason, John David McDonald, Shawn Ming, Xander Munoz, Taylor Oliver, Madison Owens, Rio Parker-Garcia, JD Roudybush, Jessica Small, Anna Stevens, Dori Stevens, Ian Sutton, Miranda Teeters, Brooke Tobble, James Wearing, and Mitchell Wright.

Roudybush, Robert Hutson, Ashley Heptig, Janessa Gould, Shawn Coleman, Katie Grimm, Steven Shepherd, Derek Kelsheimer, Richard Gould, Kristen Tennyson, Matt Nelson, Lucas Smith, Josh Arseneault, Kevin High, Baron Meeks, Mitchell Wright, MiKayla Chiles, Clay Wiley, Lindsay Pond, Tiffany Wright, Brieanna Baxter, Jake Fletcher, Rich Abrams, Kara Slovak, Jeremiah Johnson, Alexander Munoz, Chelsea Befort, Lacey Brown, Cody Jackson, and Josh Reed. Melissa Williamson served as a special guest performer on the flute.
