Cowley College is now fully accredited to offer online degrees

Cowley College Online, a branch of Cowley College, recently became a fully accredited online college. While most colleges offer online courses, only the best colleges achieve full accreditation to offer online degrees.

When the college gained online degree accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Cowley College became one of only a few community colleges in the state of Kansas to gain accreditation to offer full online associate degrees.

This achievement required years of investments to build an infrastructure that ensures a uniform and sound quality of education and support services that meet the same rigorous standards imposed on the Cowley College campus in Arkansas City and the educational centers in Winfield and Mulvane, KS.

Slade Griffiths, Cowley College vice president of academic affairs, is pleased that the college can now offer an affordable, accessible, online degree to students across the continent and around the world.

Thanks to a tremendous effort by a team of educators, technical support specialists and student services staff, the college met the challenges of providing remote access to student services, such as admissions, registration, advising, tutoring, placement testing, financial aid, 24/7 help desks and other pertinent services.
