Cowley to host Kansas College Chemistry Teachers Conference
Dr. Robert M. Panoff, founder and executive director of the Shodor Education Foundation in Durham, N.C., will be the featured speaker at the Kansas College Chemistry Teachers Conference held at Cowley College March 30 through April 1.
The conference will begin Thursday, March 30 with a welcoming mixer at the Regency court at 7:30 p.m. Conference registration will take place Friday, March 31 at 8:30 a.m. in the Brown Center lobby.
Dr. Panoff will then speak at the Friday evening banquet, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Brown Center’s Wright Room. Those interested in attending the banquet must return their KCCTC registration by March 16. The registration can be faxed to (620) 441-5359, or mailed to Pamela Smith at Cowley College, 125 S. Second St., Arkansas City, KS, 67005.
The KCCTC will reconvene the following morning, Saturday, April 1 at 8:30 a.m. in the Webb Brown Building room 208. The conference will conclude with an informal luncheon at noon Saturday.
The cost of registration is $40. The cost includes lunch on Friday and Saturday, and the Friday evening banquet. Additional banquet tickets can be purchased for $15.
