Cowley offers new two-year degree for graphic/web design students
Long known for its stellar graphic design programs, Cowley College is now adding another facet to this program. Starting in the Spring 2006 semester, Cowley will offer a new Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in web design and management.
With much of the production work in the field of graphic design moving toward interactive and internet based applications, Cowley is responding to the need for skilled workers in this area. The program of study offers a firm foundation in design and extensive coursework in web production and management.
Cowley first started offering web design classes nearly six years ago. Current students in the web site production class have received on the job training as they have helped update parts of the Cowley web site. The class has also built web sites for local businesses and has created its own company called “Cowley Web Design.”
The majority of classes needed to obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in web design and management can be taken online. Contact Mia Allen or Denise Irwin for more information.
