Cowley College Golden Tigers offering programs in March

The popular AARP Driver Safety Program along with Crop for Cancer will be offered in Arkansas City through the Cowley College Golden Tigers.

Crop for Cancer, which is sponsored by the Cowley College Relay for Life Team, will be held 9 a.m.-6 p.m. March 10 in Cowley College’s Earle N. Wright Community Room. The cost is $15 for a half day or $25 for a full day.

The crop is open to those experienced with scrap booking as well as those who would like to get started in scrap booking. There will be cropping space, gift bags, door prizes and demonstrations. Snacks will be provided. Funds raised will be used for cancer research.

The AARP Driver Safety Program will take place from 1-5 p.m. March 26-27 in Room 206 of Cowley’s College’s Webb-Brown Academic Center. This eight-hour class is designed to help drivers improve driving skills and avoid accidents and traffic violations. Participants will receive a course completion certificate upon completion of the program. In order to receive the certificate, participants must attend both days of the program. Discounts on automobile insurance are often given to individuals completing the course.
