Mu Alpha Theta inducts 62 new members
College’s Mu Alpha Theta inducted 62 new members during
a ceremony held in the Earle N. Wright Community Room on Tuesday.
Mu Alpha Theta is a national community college mathematics club. Its major purpose is to promote greater interest in mathematics and give recognition for excellence in mathematics performance by community college students.
Membership in Mu Alpha Theta is limited to those students who have excelled in mathematics and met the minimum standard for membership.
Mu Alpha Theta Members automatically become members of Cowley’s Math and Science Club. April Nittler and Scott Layton, instructors in Cowley’s Natural Science Department, serve as sponsors of the Math and Science Club.
