Twelve Cowley College students presented 22 original works at the Tyger Tawk Communications and Creative Writing Club’s second annual Open Mic Night held Thursday at Brown’s in Arkansas City.

Marlys Cervantes, sponsor of the Tyger Tawk Communications and Creative Writing Club, thought the evening was a great success.

“The audience was double the size of last semester’s, and the works were diverse and a good representation of some of the student talent at Cowley,” Cervantes said.

The original works ranged from poetry to short fiction to songs to jazz instrumental music.

Tyger Tawk’s next Open Mic Night will be Thursday, April 12, at Brown’s at 7 p.m.
