Cowley's Mr. Cinderfella set for April 26
An evening of entertainment, complete with Miss Kansas, is what $2 will
get you when Cowley College presents the 19th Annual Mr. Cinderfella
Pageant April 26 in the Robert Brown Theatre inside the Brown Center.
Tickets may be purchased at the door for the 7:30 p.m. show, which will
feature approximately 15 Cowley male students, or from the Humanities
Office, lower level of the Brown Center. Michelle Walthers, Miss Kansas
2006, will continue the tradition and emcee the event.
The contestants will compete in beach/leisure wear, talent, and eveningwear.
Three female judges, not announced until the night of the show, will
rate each contestant. The man with the most points at the end of the
night is crowned Mr. Cinderfella.
James Franklin, now a student at Kansas State University, won the coveted
title in 2006.
Walthers platform as Miss Kansas is “Strengthening the American
Family”.
She helped raise nearly $6,000 for Safe House of Butler County. She also
wrote and directed a Children’s Musical and has written and illustrated
a children’s book.
She also implemented a unique idea for fundraising by having “Princess
Parties” for girls, with all money raised sent to a charity which
supports families.
