Cowley’s Phi Theta Kappa inducts 64 new members
Cowley College’s Phi Theta Kappa organization inducted 64 new members during a ceremony held Sunday in the Earle N. Wright Community Room. Michelle Walthers, Miss Kansas 2006, was the featured speaker at the event.
Phi Theta Kappa is currently taking part in the Angel Wreaths as 15 children's names from Salvation Army will be available, five each on three Angel Wreaths placed in Galle Johnson Hall, the Brown center and Webb Brown. PTK will be collecting gifts for the children Nov. 15 – Dec. 6. Pick out a wreath and bring unwrapped gifts to Melinda Neal at Galle Johnson room 210. Be sure to have your unwrapped gifts returned on or before Dec. 6.
Also, PTK will participate in the Better Book Drive. Drop boxes will be placed in Cowley's Bookstore and Galle Johnson Hall on the main campus and at the Southside Education Center the week of Dec. 11-15. If you are not able to resell your books, they will be recycled. The money made on the books will go to "Room to Read".
Old Cell Phones? North Campus PTK is participating in an ongoing fundraiser "Cell Phone Recycling Drive" after Thanksgiving. Drop boxes will be located at the Southside Education Center. Drop your old cell phones and batteries only, (no accessories, chargers sim cards etc.. Contact Nancy Ayers for more information.
