Cowley students take part in Open Mic Night

Open Mic NightCreative Claws hosted Open Mic Night last night at Brown’s in Arkansas City. Nine students presented a total of 21 works to a crowd of just over 40 students and community members.

“The night was another success,” said Marlys Cervantes, Creative Claws sponsor. “The students showcased original poetry, songs and short stories. We have some really talented individuals at Cowley, and it’s nice to see them perform.”

Creative Claws will co-host a stand-up comedy show April 17, so students are encouraged to watch for further information about the event. The next Open Mic Night will be April 10 at Brown’s at 7 p.m.. Students can contact Cervantes for information on the club or upcoming activities.
