Pageant Thursday in the Robert Brown Theatre, Mathew Slovacek took home the coveted
Slovacek impressed the judges in all three categories, which included beachwear/leisurewear, talent, and eveningwear.
“Mathew was a standout in each one of the categories,” Mr. CinderFella director Dejon Ewing said. “He handled himself really well and was the clear winner.”
Along with being named Mr. CinderFella, Slovacek also was named the winner of the beachwear/leisurewear category. Manny Thompson was the eveningwear winner, while Joe Lauer was the talent winner.
Lauer finished as the first runner-up, while Thomas Govert was the second runner-up. Sean Rethmeier and Nate Newland finished third and fourth, respectively.
“It was an exceptional group of young men to work with,” Ewing said.
The money raised from the event goes towards fund-raisers for Cowley College’s Act One and funds for next year’s Mr. CinderFella show. James Loe, who won last year’s Mr. CinderFella title and is now playing basketball at Louisiana Tech University, was on hand for the event.
