New Student Orientation
More than 370 incoming freshmen took part in Cowley College’s
New Student Orientation held Wednesday in the Robert Brown Theatre located
on the Arkansas City campus.
The New Student Orientation is a one-credit hour course that is held at the main campus in Arkansas City and at the Southside Education Center in Wichita. More than 60 students took part in the Southside Education Center’s New Student Orientation held Friday.
The daylong Orientation included meetings with instructors and advisors, great food and fun social activities. Sessions also were developed for parents.
Students enrolled in Orientation will be given six follow-up assignments that involve an advisor meeting, library basics, Campus Connect, service learning, the Discover Program, and a signature page.
Classes begin at Cowley College on Thursday.
