four performances of the Tony Award winning Gershwin musical comedy "Crazy
For You" held Thursday through Sunday at the Robert Brown Theatre.
More than 1,600 people attended the four shows, which were directed by Scott MacLaughlin, Cowley College director of theatre and theatrical services.
“I thought it went great,” MacLaughlin said. “We were blessed to have such a hard working, easy going cast. We had a great audience each night, they were really receptive to the show.”
"Crazy for You" is a musical based on the book by Ken Ludwig, with lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and music by George Gershwin.
MacLaughlin felt everyone worked extremely hard to make the show a success in just six short weeks.
“All the hard work paid off in the end,” MacLaughlin said. “It was such a pleasure to work with Connie (Donatelli), Jamison (Rhoads) and Jennifer Blatchford.”
