More than 300 students take part in Cowley’s Fall Senior Day

Senior DayGetting an opportunity to tour the Cowley College campus and learn about all of the wonderful things the college has to offer, more than 300 students from around Kansas and Oklahoma took part in Cowley’s Fall Senior Day Wednesday in Arkansas City.

Along with the campus tour, students were given a chance to win prizes by answering trivia questions about the college. They were then treated to a special repeat performance by the winners of Cowley’s “Puttin on the Hits” contest, and watched a video of current Cowley students giving testimonials on the benefits of coming to Cowley.

Members of the many campus organizations were on hand to provide the students with information, while the students also got an opportunity to meet instructors in the different academic programs.

Lunch was then provided and the day concluded with game room challenges for cash prizes in the Nelson Student Center.

Shayla McDonald, Cowley College admissions representative, thought the day was a success.

“It was a really good day, we had a lot of positive feedback,” McDonald said. “This is a way for us to show kids how open and easy it is to come to Cowley. Hopefully, this will increase the likelihood of them coming to school here.”
