Cowley selects 2009-2010 ambassadors


Twenty-four students have been selected to represent Cowley College as Student Ambassadors for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Admissions director Shayla McDonald said the 24 students were chosen from 72 students nominated.
“I think we have a really great group of leaders and I am excited to see what next year will bring,” McDonald said.

Jaclyn Balzer, Beth Davidson, and Alicia Rayl will be returning Premier Scholar recipients and will receive a full ride scholarship. Milan Piva will be an incoming freshman next year and will also be a Premier Scholar recipient.

Ambassadors are required to work two hours per week in the Admissions Office, performing various tasks, including giving campus tours, or making photocopies. They also are required to work special events such as New Student Orientation, Senior Day, Phone-a-Thon, Principal-Counselor Day, and Cowley’s College Planning Conference.

Students chosen for the 2009-2010 academic year are listed in alphabetical order.
