Criminal Justice students observe K-9 drug enforcement dog

The Introduction to Criminal Justice class at Cowley College's Mulvane campus recently had the opportunity of observing a K-9 drug enforcement dog in action.

Guest speaker, Chad McCluskey, sergeant with the Augusta Department of Public Safety, and his K-9 dog, Bosco, demonstrated how Bosco can sniff a room for narcotics. Sergeant McCluskey also showed the class how Bosco can attack a fleeing criminal on command.

Matt Williams, a student in the class, wore a bite suit to protect himself during the demonstration. Brian Grunder, instructor, correlated the presentation with the class topic of Search and Seizure.
