Students take part in Cowley's Junior Day

Close to 100 high school juniors took part in Cowley College’s Junior Day Wednesday at its main campus in Arkansas City. The students came from high schools in Kansas and Oklahoma.

The day began with introductions and information about the college. Participants then had an opportunity to tour the campus and stop by the Earle N. Wright Community Room for free pizza.

The high school juniors and Cowley College student ambassadors then headed to the Game Room, located inside the Nelson Student Center, for some fun to cap the day.

Shayla McDonald, director of admissions, thought the students enjoyed their visit to Cowley.
"I think that the day went very well, it's not quite as intense for the juniors as it is with the seniors,” McDonald said. “We try to make it fun and laid back, we had a great time and the students did also.”
