Cowley students attend KNEA workshop

KNEACowley College students attended the Kansas National Education Association Student Program state workshop held Saturday and Sunday in Topeka.

The KNEA Student Program supports education majors in their efforts to learn more about teacher quality, political action and community service. While the group developed goals for the 2008-09 academic year, the state association charged them with participating in a state wide Voter Registration Event on Oct. 1.

Therefore, Cowley KNEA members will have various tables set up on main campus and at the Mulvane Bloomenshine building throughout the day on Oct. 1 to provide Cowley students, faculty and staff who are not registers voters an opportunity to participate in this year’s history making election.
