Award winning improv comedy to take the stage at Cowley on Jan. 21
Chicago’s Mission IMPROVable is bringing its award winning improvisation
troupe to Cowley College’s Robert Brown Theatre Thursday, Jan.
21 at 7:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the event.
Mission IMPROVable, which has performed at nearly every major improv theatre in the country, are three time nominees for the Campus Activities Magazine’s Comedy Act of the Year Award.
Members of Mission IMPROVable have trained at the famed Second City Conservatory and Improv Olympic Theatre in Chicago. They have also performed along side members of Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and Conan O’Brien.
Since its inception in 1996, Mission IMPROVable has expanded from the original six members to 15, and continues to fortify its ranks each year. Mission IMPROVable has performed at hundreds of colleges across the country, participated in countless improv festivals as both performers and teachers and even crossed the Pacific for several performances in Singapore.
Mission IMPROVable’s show relies, not only on the performers, but the audience and audience participation. They conduct an array of comedy improv games and each Mission IMPROVable show revolves around the audience's suggestions as inspiration for the laughter.
