Area schools represented at Principal/Counselor Day

In appreciation of the efforts made by the principals and counselors at area high schools in helping students transfer to Cowley College, the school’s main campus in Arkansas City held a Principal/Counselor Day on Wednesday.

Following a welcome address from Cowley College president Dr. Patrick J. McAtee, campus directors provided an update on the programs they represent.

The principals and counselors on hand were then treated to a tour of the campus, and were informed of changes in scholarships and new programs being offered through an update by the college’s admissions team. The day concluded with lunch in the Earle N. Wright Community Room.

Ben Schears, Cowley College executive director of enrollment and outreach services, was pleased with the opportunity to have the principals/counselors on campus.

“This event gives us the chance to update them on the positive changes at the college and show off our wonderful facilities and new buildings,” Schears said.
