22nd Mr. Cinderfella Pageant April 22 at Cowley


Fifteen Cowley College freshman and sophomore males will participate in the 22nd annual Mr. Cinderfella Pageant April 22.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Robert Brown Theatre inside the Brown Center for Arts, Sciences and Technology on the main campus. Tickets are $2 per person and may be purchased at the Humanities Department Office, lower level of the Brown Center, or at the door.

Becki Ronen, Miss Kansas, will continue in the tradition of Mr. CinderFella emcees and host the event this year. Ronen, 21, is a native of Flint Hills and is a music major at Kansas State University. She plans to obtain a Doctorate of Music and one day teach at a university as well as play professionally in a brass quintet.

As part of her pledge to contribute to community services, Ronen has created a coloring book for children with the proceeds going to scholarship funds. She has chosen “A Heart for Art: Supporting Creativity in our Children” as her platform.

She is a graduate of Buhler High School and has received numerous honors.

The contestants will compete in beach/leisure wear, talent, and eveningwear. Three judges, not announced until the night of the show, will rate each contestant. The man with the most points at the end of the night is crowned Mr. Cinderfella.

The pageant will feature the following Cowley students: Aaron Brooks, Peter Fairchild, Charles Fall, Jake Fletcher, Clinton Haas, Mitch Hoover, Bert Hutson, Joey Kendrick, B.J. Misialek, Pete Onelio, Shane Parsons, Caprest Rhone, Dayton Rodrigues, Isbek Salinas, and Mitchell Wright.
