Creative Claws holds annual talent show
Playing to a crowd of over 100 people, Creative Claws sponsored the annual
talent show Tuesday night in the Robert Brown Theatre.
Joanna Carson and Lee Lyons, emcees for the show, introduced the 16 acts to the audience.
“The crowd was wonderful,” Marlys Cervantes, club sponsor said. “We were very pleased with the turnout in talent and in audience.”
Judges for the evening were Adam Borth, Meg Smith and Chris Williams. The evening talent ended with a special guest performance by area musician Piper Leigh Bowling.
“Now it’s time to get your poetry together for Writers’ Corner on November 3 at 7 p.m. at Brown’s,” Cervantes concluded. “We have such talented students here at Cowley. Thanks to all who support them!”
Talent Show winners were:
- First Place Original Work - Nicole Hoerschgen
- First Place Solo Act - Sharell Jones
- First Place Duet/Group Act - Squirrely Birds featuring Mitch Hoover and
- Runners up for the evening were: Whitnie Means, Shaelynn French, and Cowley Tiger Steppers (Falisha Scott, LaMonica Johnson, Tiffany Wilcox, and Sharell Jones).
