Christmas Vespers Concert to be held Dec. 13

Christmas Vespers ConcertCelebrate the holiday season with music by attending the Christmas Vespers Concert on Sunday, Dec. 13. The concert will feature music by the Cowley College Concert Choir. There is no cost to attend the concert.

The Concert Choir will take the stage under the direction of Connie Donatelli to perform songs people treasure this time of year.

“This is our way of celebrating Christmas with the community,” Donatelli said. “The students are fired up and ready to sing Christmas music, which is very well loved by the students.”

The Concert Choir will perform Angel’s We’ve Heard on High, He is Born, Carol of the Drum (Little Drummer Boy), Still, Still, Still, and the First Noel. They will also sing traditional Christmas carols.
In keeping with the tradition of the Vespers Concert, the Concert Choir will end the concert with a candlelight performance.

“This makes for a special moment that we don’t all get at Christmas,” Donatelli said.

A reception will be held in the Earle N. Wright Community Room following the concert.
