Mark Bowling to perform at Caff� Acoustic on Jan. 7


Caffé AcousticMark Bowling, a local singer/songwriter, will be the featured entertainer at Caffé Acoustic held Thursday, Jan. 7 at Brown’s in Arkansas City.

Bowling writes from his life experiences and captures the humor, irony and beauty around him in his songs. He draws his influence from Lyle Lovett, Hal Ketchum and Don Williams with such a creativity and breadth, that his songs sound familiar in a brand new way.

In 2005, Bowling performed two of his original songs at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson and won the State Finals competition of the Colgate Country Showdown.

He has also performed at venues in Nashville, TN, Indianapolis, IN, and Ponca City, OK to name a few. Bowling’s wife, Piper Leigh, is also an accomplished musician.

Brown’s is located at 225 South Summit in Arkansas City. Caffé Acoustic is a community project, with CornerBank, Home National Bank, and Union State Bank, and The Arts at Cowley helping fund the concert series.
