Concert to raise money for Cowley College music scholarships


Several talented musicians will come together for a Music and Drama Club Concert to help raise money for music scholarships at Cowley College. The concert will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. inside the Robert Brown Theatre.

Members of the Cowley College Singers, Dan Byers, Jessica Coldwell, Bryce Sund and Andrea Workman, will perform at the concert, as will members of Cowley College’s Guitar Ensemble. Lead applied voice instructor, Lindsey Ramirez, will also be a featured singer at the concert.

There will also be performances by the Ark High Singers, and Arkansas City Middle School students Ashley Keefe, Abby Turner, and Caldor Klink, as well as a duet by Jordan Nellis and Emily Flickinger.

Julie Sutton will sing, while Jan Hatfield accompanies on bass guitar, and Dalene McDonald will play a pair of piano solos and duet with Joyce Daniel.

Other performers include, Arkansas City High School graduate and current University of Kansas student Toby Wright, Amy Haist, and Bill Post. Dr. Nick Rogers will serve as the emcee for the event.

The concert will feature a wide range of talent. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
