Cowley signs transfer credit agreement with American Public University
Graduates of Cowley College will be able to transfer into one of American
Public University's (APU) online bachelor’s degree programs,
thanks to a recent articulation agreement signed between the two schools.
Students that have graduated from Cowley College can enroll for eight-week or 16-week online classes at APU, part of the American Public University System, with coursework beginning the first Monday of each month.
In addition to other programs, APU is allowing Cowley students an opportunity to transfer their associate degree in a block format to complete bachelor’s degrees in General Studies, History, Intelligence Studies, Management, Marketing, Security Management, Information Systems Security, Sports and Health Sciences, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, Psychology, and Transportation and Logistics Management.
"The fact that they are regionally accredited by The North Central Association Higher Learning Commission shows they are a reputable option for our online students," said Janice Stover, Cowley College director of academic enrichment. "This will serve as a great continuation of their Cowley education and an opportunity for the student to get their bachelor’s degree."
The undergraduate tuition cost at APU is $250 per credit hour, and an APU book grant provides required texts and other reading at no charge to all undergraduate students earning academic credit. Full-time Cowley College faculty or staff members interested in obtaining his or her Master’s degree through APU pay $325 per credit hour and qualify for a graduate APU textbook grant.
