Amazing sophomores put on final vocal recital

Six talented sophomores filled the Robert Brown Theatre with their amazing voices for the final time during Tuesday night’s Sophomore Vocal Music Recital.

The sophomores consisted of Jessica Coldwell, Amy Dunlap, Shaelynn French, Anne Harmon, Bryce Sund, and Andrea Workman. Each student performed at least two songs, with the majority of them singing four songs on a night that vocal music director Connie Donatelli deemed amazing.

“This has been one of the strongest, most talented group of sophomore vocal students that I have ever had at Cowley,” said Donatelli, who served as an accompanist on piano.

Along with Donatelli, applied voice instructor Lindsay Ramirez also helped with the recital.

The students emotionally charged renditions reverberated through the crowd and left the audience inspirationally moved.

Donatelli will miss working with this group of sophomores and knows they will be successful at their new schools.

“I was feeling so many emotions realizing that they will be leaving Cowley but excited and so proud of what they each have accomplished in the past two years,” Donatelli said. “There is no doubt in my mind that each of them will find success in the years to come and I look forward to following their individual journeys in music and in life.”
