Students chosen to join Cowley College Singers
With only 16 spots available, 28 students recently auditioned for a chance
to be selected as a member of the Cowley College Singers.
For the auditions students had to sing a prepared solo, sing in a quartet (a cappella), and dance. They auditioned in the Brown Center’s Choir Room in front of eight judges. Judges for the auditions were: theatre director, Scott MacLaughlin; technical director of theatre, Jamison Rhoads; dance instructor, Jennifer Blatchford; vocal music director, Connie Donatelli; instrumental music director, Josh Fleig; piano and music theory instructor, Dr. Gloria Tham and Cowley applied voice teachers, Lindsay Ramirez and Deborah Badley.
Students were only eligible to audition for the Cowley College Singers if they are a current member of the Concert Choir, which is led by Connie Donatelli.
“All of the judges were so impressed with the level of talent that was displayed during the audition and all commented on what a great group we were going to have this year,” Donatelli said. “All students are to be commended for a job well done during the auditions.”
