Cowley Concert Choir/Cowley College Singers to perform fall vocal concert on Oct. 26

Showcasing the many amazing voices at Cowley College, the school’s Cowley College Concert Choir and Cowley College Singers will conduct a Fall Vocal Concert at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26th inside the Robert Brown Theatre.

The Concert Choir will be performing a wide variety of music starting the evening off with a piece written for two choirs, called “This Moment” by Mark Hayes. The group will be divided into two choirs and will be in front and behind the audience while performing, giving the audience a true “surround sound” experience.

The rest of the Concert Choir’s program will include: “Tango To Elvora”, written by Loreena McKennitt and arranged by Jon Washburn; “Juego a que me quemo”, arranged by Julian Gomez Giraldo; “Flower of Beauty” by John Clements; “If Music Be The Food Of Love” by David Dickau; and “Nothin’ Gonna Stumble My Feet” by Greg Gilpin.

The CC Singers will conclude the program with their choreographed show “Remembering The Rat Pack!”
A medley of tunes made popular back in the late 1950’s thru the mid 1960’s by the team of entertainers, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., known as the “Rat Pack”

but in recent years has been brought back in fashion by the Canadian born singer, Michael Buble.
According to vocal music director, Connie Donatelli, this is a concert you will not want to miss.

“Jennifer Blatchford has done an outstanding job of choreographing the show and the students are absolutely loving the music,” Donatelli said.

Mark your calendar for Oct. 26 as you will not want to miss hearing these talented voices in concert.
