Christmas Vespers Concert to be held Dec. 12

Christmas Vespers Concert

Celebrate the holiday season with music by attending the Christmas Vespers Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12. The concert will feature music by the Cowley College Concert Choir. There is no cost to attend the concert.

The Cowley College Concert Choir will take the stage under the direction of Connie Donatelli to perform songs people treasure this time of year.

“It truly has become a tradition at Cowley College and is an important part of the holiday season for our community,” Donatelli said.

The Concert Choir will perform “Carol of the Bells”, “Hark! The Angels Sing”, “Do You Hear What I Hear”, “Good Christians All Rejoice”, “I Wonder While I Wander”, “Silent Night” by John Rutter, and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. They will also sing traditional Christmas carols.

In keeping with the tradition of the Vespers Concert, the Concert Choir will end the concert by surrounding the audience to perform Christmas carols while holding candles.

“This makes for a special moment that we don’t all get at Christmas,” Donatelli said.

A reception will be held in the Earle N. Wright Community Room following the concert. The Cowley College Singers will perform during the reception.

Members of the Concert Choir are: Jacklynn Anderson, Katie Arnett, Brian Blaine, Carly Brock, Aaron Brooks, Parker Church, Jessica Coldwell, Brooke Cullum, Rachel Curtiss, Corbett Dalton, Alexis Denoncourt, Devin Dice, Deborah Dickey, Amy Dunlap, Peter Fairchild, Lydia Farley, Shaelynn French, Jacob Guiot, Anne Harmon, Ashlee Henning, Aaron Kucharik, Clayton Lupfer, Titus Massey, Mason McCray, Whitnie Means, Lauren Miller, Taryn Miller, Dylan Muilenburg, Rebecca Munoz, Asa Muntz, Michael Norem, Jimmie Norman, Raven Ortiz, Joshua Scheuermann, Angela Shockey, Travis Spangler, Jade Sparks, Kalon Steinaway, Bryce Sund, Lindsey Thomas, Jillian Turner, Alli Walls, William Wegele, Amanda Westerman, Kyle White, Andrea Workman, and Madison Zimmerman.
